they look amazing even without color. thanks spawn

I don't have lightscribe myself (I prefer to label my discs by hand since I don't really use covers anymore and just store them in holding cases) but several of my friends do and I've found that designs that don't rely on color in the first place turn out better. Simple B/W designs with some minor shading or details in shades of gray turn out really nice.

Nope, nothing special, although some programs are easier to use than others when burning the images. I personally use Droppix Label Maker Deluxe, which automatically fits the disc stomp image to the stomp area, as long as the stomp's edges touch each side of the image (most of our stomps do). You can always drag the edges if needed.

One thing not to forget--when you want to burn the label, don't forget to put the disc in upside down. That took me awhile to figure out at first. :P

While deleting old attachments on MetCoverArt, I ran across this other image that Mr.Metal took of some of his Lightscribe discs:

I'm gonna revive a long-forgotten topic:
I saw the LightScribe disc and they look really amazing!
My f*****g PC has only LabelFlash - are LightScribe discs compatible with LabelFlash burners?
I do not want spend a bunch of money in discs that do not work how they should....

Ahhh, I found it on the internet: No!
LightScribe discs + LabelFlash doesn't work...
So I can only buy DVDs (no one knows how long it takes to receive them) with crappy printable layer... Nope, I'm gonna continue buying ink and paper labels.
